With over 30 years of experience in the fine living industry, Robby Montenegro shares his knowledge, insights, and experiences.
His journey, which has never stopped evolving, began in the world of cigars, where a deep passion for high-quality tobacco guided his path in life and everything related to refined living.
Before completing his degree in Political Science and International Relations, Robby started working in hotels, restaurants, and cigar shops in Argentina and Uruguay. In 2003, he opened his own restaurant, Camarico, and shortly after, Manso steakhouse. Camarico, a premium bistro in the neighbourhood of Recoleta in Buenos Aires was dedicated to savoring gastronomy, wine, and cigars, offering an extensive wine list and a dedicated cigar lounge. Manso, a steakhouse, proposed the art of pairing meat with various wines at the heart of the experience. . Robby also continued to advise other establishments, delivering training and talks for clients of various wineries in Argentina. His journey with cigars followed a similar path. After selling Camarico in 2007, Robby ventured to Lima, Peru, where he began his journey alongside the rising international recognition of Peruvian gastronomy, represented by his first partner winery, Ernesto Catena Vineyards.
This time, focusing on wine imports to the Peruvian market, Robby founded ROMOVI with a unique approach to the industry: offering personalized service to both suppliers and customers. Through his vision and determination, Robby successfully built a solid company over 15 years, partnering with more than 10 wineries and over 130 labels in its portfolio. A special chapter of this journey is the creation of Doña Ines cigars, born out of the absence of high-quality cigars in the Peruvian market. Robby forged a partnership with the Plasencia family from Nicaragua, who supported the project from its beginnings. They began manufacturing cigars using blends suggested by Robby Montenegro. Today, after over 7 years on the market, Doña Ines cigars, produced by Plasencia, are a hallmark of premium quality at the right price.

The project came to full consolidation with the establishment of Concepto Placer 7 years ago, a company dedicated to the distribution and sale of wines and gourmet products, led by Inés Pezzarini. Transitioning from the financial sector, Inés followed her passion and became a successful entrepreneur, bringing her expertise and knowledge to the world of fine living. This is made evident in the elegant Concepto Placer boutique located within the Swissôtel Lima.
Robby and Inés’ work and leisure travels, combined with their experiences around the world, including Europe and the United States, have enriched their knowledge and expanded their global friends and partners’ network. These experiences have helped shape their philosophy of living: enjoying the little great things of the good life with family and friends.
The unwavering commitment and passion for their work have turned these ventures into a life devoted to their businesses, each reflecting their love for a lifestyle centered around enjoying quality time with loved ones. . The lessons learned through hard work, enjoyment, and time are what they are now eager to share through this project.
